E-Hired Partners with Heroes for Healthcare to help and support veterans

E-Hired has recently partnered with Heroes for Healthcare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans find civilian employment in the healthcare field. Heroes for Healthcare assists military personnel with their transition to civilian life by providing consultation and one-on-one support to veterans interested in careers in healthcare.

With E-Hired, Heroes for Healthcare veterans will have access to free, personalized job leads delivered daily to their email. By using E-Hired military personnel will have the ability to build a customizable professional online employment profile that can be seen and accessed by employers.

Military personnel will also have access to the E-Hired mobile application for both Android and Apple platforms at no cost. This mobile application will alert veterans of job leads, allow them to apply for job leads and update their profile from their smartphone devices.

E-Hired supports our nation’s military personnel and the monumental service they provide to our nation. E-Hired is honored to work with Heroes for Healthcare and to open up our network of job opportunities to our veterans.

Heroes for Healthcare was started by Laura Honaski after she noticed veterans who had served in healthcare positions in the service were struggling to find civilian healthcare careers. Honaski realized many veterans were struggling to communicate their accomplishments in their resumes and interviews due to employers misunderstanding military positions and jargon. The healthcare fields couldn’t hire these individuals because on paper they were not “compliant” with the job description. Heroes for Healthcare strives to bridge the communication gap between civilians and veterans, giving organizations the opportunity to employ these talented men and women.

E-Hired will assist in bridging this gap with its unique, Department of Labor (DOL) integrated, automated resumes. This feature is designed to assist users in finding the best words to describe their skills and accomplishments. Users can plug in their previous work experience, and E-Hire automated resumes will supply them with language to describe the types of duties they performed while in that position, all using DOL approved language.

E-Hired provides career service and student placement support to over 300 campuses and institutions including; 2 – 4 year public and private colleges & universities, vocational training providers, as well as various state and federal government agencies.  Institutions utilizing E-Hired can see an up to 5% increase in student placement within its first 8 weeks of E-Hired provided job opportunities being provided to their students and an up to 22% increase in student placement over a 12-month period.
